Often Crew will be asked to speak on a microphone at an event or even go on air to talk about Crew activity – so you need to be confident and commanding. HOW OFTEN DOES THE ROAD CREW WORK?
There are no set hours of work – some events have an early start, some involve late nights and many take place over the weekend. There are some busier periods, such as summer and the weeks leading up to Christmas. We aim to get the Crew out and about as much as possible over the next 12 months. The more flexible you can be with your availability, the more hours that will be available for you.
As a member of the Century Radio Road Crew, you are employed on a casual basis - this means that you must be registered with the Inland Revenue as 'self employed' and are therefore responsible for your own income tax and National Insurance.
